Why GATHER
Most Bible games ask teenagers to sit still and whisper. GATHER does the opposite. It’s built to be the arcade of the night — big from the back row, fast on its feet, the round everyone wants to play again.
And underneath the noise it never loses the plot: the Word is the point the energy serves. No clip-art, no kitsch. Just a room that’s genuinely loud about Scripture.
& at the same time
“They devoted themselves… to fellowship.”Acts 2:42
How it works
GATHER runs like a TV game show, not an app. You’re the host; the room is the contestants. Everything happens on the one screen at the front.
Open GATHER on the TV or projector. That’s the only device in the room — no installs, no logins for students.
Name the teams, pick their colors. Six kids or sixty — small group, lock-in, or a packed Wednesday all work.
Run the whole night from one calm control bar. Teams answer out loud, points land, the room does the rest.
The energy
The scoreboard is the heartbeat. Points land big, the leader glows, the string lights pop. Try it — give a team ten points.
The rounds
Every round runs inside the same host shell, so the night flows without a hitch. Mix the fast and the thoughtful — recall, reasoning, teamwork, performance.
Connect the clues to the story they belong to.
How it plays ›02Two are real Scripture, one’s the impostor. Spot the fake.
How it plays ›03The room finishes the verse aloud — word-perfect scores most.
How it plays ›04Inhabit a figure’s hardest moment, then let the Word land.
How it plays ›05Pitch a parable fresh — score by keeping its heart, never the laughs.
How it plays ›06A verse comes flattened into bland words — say what it actually means.
How it plays ›07Race to sort the pile into the right two piles — then learn why the distinction matters.
How it plays ›08Each team gets one story, shuffled — put it back, and learn why the order means something.
How it plays ›09Act it out or draw it — your team shouts the guess before the clock runs out.
How it plays ›10A familiar scene is retold wrong — hunt the errors, then learn what the text really says.
How it plays ›11A story stops at the cliff — predict the next beat, then bank it or push your luck.
How it plays ›12Clues to a Bible figure reveal one at a time — name them early for more, and meet who grace made them.
How it plays ›13Place the story on a map — call the region, and learn why the geography itself preaches.
How it plays ›14A theme appears — race into your own Bibles to find a passage that shows it, then defend the connection.
How it plays ›15Race to find the reference in your Bible — then the points ride on understanding what it means.
How it plays ›16The floor — the host writes the questions; the whole room answers, and a “why” turns a fact into a moment.
How it plays ›17The finale — the competition sets down and the room builds one thing.
How it plays ›Loud doesn’t mean shallow. Every round lands on a verse — and ends with the room talking about it.
GATHER closes each game with a Scripture recap built for discussion, so the energy of the night carries straight into the conversation that matters.
